The musician Max Meyer-Olbersleben, author of instrumental and vocal music, was born in Olbersleben on the 5th April 1850, the same year of the composers Brandts Buys, Bretón y Hernández, Fanciulli, Faning, Fibich, Georges, Heuberger, Jordan, Keil, Komzák, Lange-Müller, Luigini, Miguez, Olsen, Scharwenka, Scontrino, Serrano y Ruiz, Simon, Taneyev, Thomas, Thomé, Toulmouche, Urspruch. He died in Würzburg on the 31th December 1927
