The musician Efim (Jef) Golishev was born in Kherson on the 20th September 1897, the same year of the composers Ascone, Barth, Bentzon, Bravnicar, Cowell, Fernström, Gerster, Heward, Kerr, Korngold, Kósa, Lillen, Lorenzo Fernândez, Maganini, Mignone, Moeschinger, Riisager, Salmon, Sorozabal (Marialcurrena), Stringfield, Sutherland, Tansman.
