Lamar Edwin Stringfield was born in Raleigh on the 10th October 1897, the same year of the composers Ascone, Barth, Bentzon, Bravnicar, Cowell, Fernström, Gerster, Golishev, Heward, Kerr, Korngold, Kósa, Lillen, Lorenzo Fernândez, Maganini, Mignone, Moeschinger, Riisager, Salmon, Sorozabal (Marialcurrena), Sutherland, Tansman. Died in Asheville (North Carolina) on the 21 Jenuary 1959
